When Radio was Magic

Here I am, frowning about something, around 1950-1951. This was the Golden Age of Radio, and it was not long before I became hooked on those fabulous stories. There were stories of wonder, stories of adventure, and stories to fall asleep with as a child.

I was fortunate because my dad was an electronics wizard. He helped me make a crystal radio set, and I could listen to radio stories from many stations. Later, I got my own radio for companionship, and I heard a good number of the shows then that are available once again as Old Time Radio.

Hearing these stories again brings back wonderful memories.
