Questions and Answers
What is "Old Time Radio”?
Old Time Radio refers to the radio recordings made from the 1930s though the 1960s, a time also known as the “Golden Age of Radio.” Many of those wonderful original dramas, comedies, mysteries, adventures, history, and other stories are still available to us today. The works of many famous performers survive today thanks to Old Time Radio collectors.

If you are as old as I am, then you can again enjoy the best of the radio stories you heard in your youth.
What is MP3?
MP3 is a widely-used file format that makes it easy and affordable to save, transport, and listen to Old Time Radio shows.

Minor technical discussion:
An MP3 CD can hold 30 times more stories than a standard audio CD.
An MP3 DVD, like the ones I offer, can hold 300 more times stories than a standard audio CD.
How do I use MP3 DVDs?
Old Time Radio shows on an MP3 DVD can be stored on or played on a computer with a DVD drive, something that almost all computers have. It is easy to listen to MP3 files on your computer or to copy them to a portable MP3 player like Apple's iPod or any of numerous other portable MP3 players that start at about $20. My portable DVD player plays the shows on these MP3 DVDs, but my older DVD player does not. DVDs will not play in CD players.

I use Windows Media Player on my PC to listen to MP3 stories.
Winamp, available at www.winamp.com, is an excellent MP3 player, and it's free, too.
Why don't you offer MP3 CDs?
It's all a matter of convenience and saving you money. You get at least 7 times as many shows on a DVD as you do on a CD.

Here's an example: If you look at my DVD listing, you will see that I sell a single comedy MP3 DVD that has the Abbott & Costello Show plus the Fibber McGee & Molly Show (that's 713 total episodes), and it costs for only $6 plus $4 shipping. You would pay more than $50 at either of two of leading Old Time Radio sellers (the one with the cat or the one with the lady) for eight or nine MP3 CDs containing the same series.

The more DVDs you buy from me, the lower the cost per DVD ... as low as $3 for a DVD with 650+ shows on it.
Are these Old Time Radio shows copyrighted?
To the best knowledge of thousands of Old Time Radio collectors (and many lawyers, too), these shows are in the public domain or not copyright restricted. These shows are widely circulated and are offered, traded, or sold by many collectors.

I will not knowingly carry any copyrighted materials. If you have evidence of any copyright, please share it with me -- thanks!
If Old Time Radio is widely offered, why should I buy yours?
I love collecting and listening to Old Time Radio. I offer very full DVDs more affordably than many others charge for lesser-capacity CDs. This supports my own trading and collecting of Old Time Radio. Buying my collection is the easiest, most affordable way to get 9,000 hours of enjoyable listening!

Each of my DVDs is professionally produced with a computer-generated label with graphics on it.

Sample Image: Disk 12 (second DVD of detective shows)
It has a picture of Basil Rathbone (as Sherlock Holmes) on the label.

The DVD contains: Let George Do It 1,
Pat Novak for Hire, Phillip Marlowe, Philo Vance,
Richard Diamond, Rogues Gallery, Sam Spade,
Sherlock Holmes, The Falcon, and The Fat Man.

It has 550 shows on it; 250 hours worth of listening!
